Who doesn't love Avon? They have great products! They really do! But my experience with them was a bummer. :(
I couldn't sale anything. Maybe it was because I am not passionate about cosmetics. Or maybe its because I love to rock my natural beauty. Or maybe just maybe I am not a great salesperson. I do not understand completely why I accepted this AVON gig. Oh I think I know why. It's because they kept calling me and sending me emails. And one AVON Lady was in town doing interviews and told me to come right away. My husband is so encouraging. He was like go for it. You can do it!
I went to the interview and there were other ladies there as well. I sat there on the edge of my sit not really wanting to be there. I was just thiniking to myself this isn't for me. But of course the +Avon Lady makes it sound so easy & good too. You can be the CEO of your very own business selling AVON. Look through the magazine tell me what you want. She was say. And like I said before they had some great products. Then what really caught my attention was when she asked me to be a model for AVON.
I smiled from ear to ear the other ladies were looking jealous because she only asked them to volunteer setting u for the modeling event.
But, when modeling came to my ears I was like now this is what I want to do. And I didn't have to audition or show a portfolio. And when she asked me I was rocking my natural beauty with my jet back natural hair. I was all smiles. It was too good to be true.
But wait! It was true indeed. But it wasn't a professional modeling gig. I was looking forward to being featured in magazines and AVON websites, But there was no hair and make-up artist involved. The Avon called and told me that I will be getting a free outfit and jewelry. But I had to bring my own stilettos, do my own hair and make-up.
That just brought me back to feeling the same way I felt about joining AVON on day one. That was my bummer AVON experience.
